Perbedaan kalimat dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris bisa dilihat dari jabatan katanya.

Keterangan:
Predikat Kalimat Verbal dalam bahasa Indonesia berupa kata
kerja. Contoh: Andini tidur.
Predikat Kalimat Nominal dalam Bahasa Indonesia berupa
selain kata kerja. Bisa berupa kata sifat, kata benda dan kata keterangan.
Contoh: Andini cantik

Rehat:
a. Bila kalimatnya Verbal, maka ditranslate apa adanya.
Contoh:
Saya mengunjungi tanteku = I Visit my aunt.
Agnes menyanyikan sebuah lagu = Agnes sings a song.
b. Bila kalimat itu berupa nominal, maka sisipkan “be” di
antara subyek dan predikat.
Contoh:
a. Saya kenyang = I am full
b. Agnes adalah seorang penyanyi = Agnes is a singer
